What we do

It takes two to tango.

We do two complementary things: keep digital collections safe for the long term, and make them accessible. Each is a discipline in its own right, and they reinforce each other.

01 · preserve

Digital preservation

We help clients build the infrastructure and workflows for long-term digital preservation: ingest, fixity, and format identification and normalization, aligned with international standards. Good preservation is quiet, methodical work, integrity you can verify, formats that stay readable, and provenance you can trust.

AI-powered tools may be integrated to enrich object description and transcription, complementing human-reviewed processes rather than replacing them.

Standards we work with
BagIt · CoreTrustSeal · ISO 16363 · OAIS · OCFL · PREMIS

02 · access

Enriched access

It doesn't end with preservation. We open collections for access with viewers, APIs, and deep-zoom interfaces built on open standards like IIIF, so they stay interoperable across institutions and outlive any single vendor.

Discovery is further enriched with semantic search and annotation, and accessibility is built in from the start, so the result is collections people can actually use.

Standards we work with
IIIF · LOD · OAI-PMH · WCAG · Web Annotation

Where they meet

Digital asset management

Preservation is where assets endure. Access is where they go out. Digital asset management is where they live in between: the system that drives organization, description, search, and delivery.

We work with clients across the life of a platform, and we don't sell one ourselves, so we can be straight about what any given DAM will and won't do for them.

The difficult part is rarely the DAM itself. It's everything around it: keeping metadata aligned with the collections management system, moving assets safely into preservation, publishing to access platforms, and making sure every system agrees on what an asset is, where it came from, and which version is authoritative.

Standards we work with
